Chartered physiotherapist Cathleen Lancelott-Redfern is qualified in all areas of treatment in all manner of patients. Her warm and gentle approach makes her a popular physiotherapist. “Just one session can bring about huge benefits and improve a person’s quality of life. I feel very fortunate to be able to help people in this way,” she says.

During her career Cathleen has developed a range of specialisms from working with pregnancy and post natal patients, to managing age related conditions and rehabilitating whiplash patients. However it is her expertise in treating temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) that brought her to work at Calm Dental Care. As a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Temporomandibular Disorder (ACPTMD) Cathleen and Calm Principal dentist Charles Crawford share a passion for addressing and treating this distressing condition. “We are proud to be the first private practice dentist and physiotherapist offering a multidisciplinary service for this condition and hope to promote the highest standards in clinical practice, research and development,” she says.

A qualified acupuncturist Cathleen has seen some remarkable benefits from this treatment. “My arthritis is very severe but after just 2 sessions I was pain free”  Lynn, Urmston.

Cathleen began her career working in some of the North West’s best teaching hospitals and has gained valuable experience in musculoskeletal outpatients, hydrotherapy, orthopaedics, orthopaedic out-patients, medicine and neurological physiotherapy.  She next went on to specialise in elderly rehabilitation and intermediate care and led a successful team in the North of Manchester. She initially trainined at the University of Salford gaining a first class honours degree.

Most importantly Cathleen’s philosophy is patient focussed. “No matter what your age or fitness level you will be given the highest quality, tailor made service with the highest possible attention to detail. Everyone I look after is treated like a King,” she says.
